Faith and Politics

Green candidate Jeff Wheeldon will be speaking at the King Edward Park Community Centre in Brighton on Thursday, April 5th at 7pm. His talk is called “Faith and Politics: A Pre-Election Primer.”
The focus of this talk is on the ways that religion and politics both engage with our values, the ways that politicians can signal to those values to trigger a response, and how religious citizens may be particularly susceptible to this. The talk draws on behavioural psychology as well as Jeff’s background in Christian theology, with the goal of equipping citizens to engage in this election season with a clear perspective. The talk will be followed by a Q&A, where Jeff will answer any questions related to the talk, his candidacy, or the Green platform.
